MEMBERSHIP & SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER
Summary of Position:
The Membership and Special Events Manager is responsible for oversight
of all aspects of the membership program including planning and
executing annual membership drives, direct mail appeals, cultivation and
retention events, and overall membership growth. In addition, this
individual is responsible for fundraising events including
identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate
donors and prospects, patrons and attendees. Manager will be
responsible for annual Preservation Classic golf tournament and the
Preservation Ball.
Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and highly organized with
great attention to detail. Requires strong interpersonal skills and PC
proficiency (Raiser's Edge, Word, and Excel). Strong communication
skills, both written and verbal, are required. Three years of previous
non-profit membership and event planning experience preferred.
Knowledge of Atlanta's and Georgia's corporate donor community and
previous volunteer management experience preferred. Bachelor's degree
or higher preferred.

GRANT WRITER
Summary of Position:
The Georgia Trust seeks an experienced grant writer as a part-time
contractor. Primary responsibilities include researching and writing
grants for current and prospective foundation donors that will result in
meeting or exceeding foundation revenue goals; collaborate with Senior
Director of Development and volunteer leadership to broaden the base of
philanthropic support from local, regional and national foundations;
support program staff in developing proposals and reports for private,
corporate, and public foundation donors; recommend cultivation
strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with grant making
funders.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates should demonstrate: ability to convey vision and
commitment to The Georgia Trust's mission; three + years of grant
writing experience; knowledge of the grant application process and the
writing of applications; superior writing, speaking, and listening
skills; success in planning, prioritizing and coordinating multiple
projects; excellent organization skills; ability to research available
grant opportunities including gathering, analyzing and evaluating a
variety of data; ability to participate as a team player to coordinate
grant projects; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines for
grant opportunities

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Description:
The Director of Communications is responsible for managing all marketing
communications for this midsize, statewide non-profit organization
including media relations, internal communication and project support
for development and other constituent communications. Coordinate
marketing strategy such as message integration and audience development.
Coordinate with the CEO, staff, board members and consultants to direct
the organization-wide communications policy and its implementation.
Qualifications:
College degree required, marketing communications with public relations,
advertising, journalism or related degree. MA or APR preferred. At
least five years of related experience. Excellent writing and editing
ability, public relations skills, ability to develop effective media
relations, superior organizational skills, ability to work independently
and communicate well with an internal audience. Must be proficient with
Quark, Photoshop, Front Page and DreamWeaver for PC.
