[Scmusenet] SEMC newsletter and membership

Good Afternoon!
   
  I will be serving as the new State Representative for SEMC.  Michelle Baker has served SEMC very well in the past few years and has passed this role on.  Thanks, Michelle, for all your work!
   
  I will be emailing the listserv quarterly to get museum news I will compile for the SC section of the SEMC newsletter.  Please submit your news to me via email by Thursday, April 17, 2008.  Feel free to attach a digital image as well (jpeg format preferred).  Its simple - just send me your institution's news.  This can include acquisitions, fundraising, construction/renovation, congratulations, professional development, website information, etc....  focus on current and upcoming events is encouraged - the publication date for this newsletter is July 1, 2008 (but I need the news by April 17th).
   
  Also, I am putting together a calendar of events for SC to send to SEMC.  Send me a list of your exhibit openings, etc. if you can (along with your news) - this is for 2008.
