Dear Colleagues,

South Carolina Federation of Museums needs your input on the Triennial Survey in order to best serve our museum community. Earlier this month, Christian Cicimurri sent a mailing to all Museum Administrators asking for their input with the survey. To date, we have had a 10 percent response. If you and your institution are part of this 10 percent, thank you so much!

I would like to ask for your support in achieving a 100 percent response. It is the goal of the SCFM Executive Committee to have the survey complete by April 18th so that work on the Strategic Plan can move forward.

Please take the time to complete the survey online; if you are not the museum administrator, please ask him/her to do so. We cannot update the Strategic Plan without this information.

These surveys serve to guide SCFM in creating a strategic plan, and will help your institution in the following ways:

- The results will be made available on the SCFM website, providing a comparison or benchmarking for all institutions in the state (not just SCFM members).
- In compiling the answers to this survey, you will be gathering important boilerplate information about your institution for use in writing grants.
- The needs of your institution will more likely be met by SCFM through conferences, workshops, scholarships, and fellowships.

We ask that each SC museum submit only one set of survey answers (designate one person) via the online survey tool, Survey Monkey. The SCFM triennial survey can be accessed at this address: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=hI9nJEwRZZrItYq3Z1UQFg_3d_3d. If you have any additional questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me or visit the SCFM website at: www.southcarolinamuseums.org.

Thank you so very much for your time.
