The Pickens County Museum of Art & History’s <b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>Thirtieth Annual Juried South Carolina Artists
Competition</span></b> will take place beginning <b><span style='font-weight:
bold'>March 30, 2010</span></b>. This competition is open to all living South
Carolina artists, 18 years of age or older, working in any medium. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<h2 style='text-align:justify'><b><font size=3 color=red face="Times New Roman"><span
style='font-size:12.0pt;color:red'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></b></h2>

Artist, art administrator and educator, <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>Hank
T. Foreman</span></b>, will serve as juror for this year’s competition.
Mr. Foreman is currently employed by <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>Appalachian
State University</span></b> in Boone, NC where he serves as <b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>Assistant Vice Chancellor for Arts and Cultural
Affairs</span></b>, an area that administers the programs of ‘An
Appalachian Summer Festival’, the Performing Art Series, and the Turchin
Center for the Visual Arts. He also serves Appalachian as <b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>Director and Chief Curator</span></b> of the T<b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>urchin Center for the Visual Arts</span></b>. Foreman
began his affiliation with ASU in 1993, and has taught in both the Department
of Art and Watauga College /Inter-disciplinary Studies programs. He received
his B.C.A. in Painting and Sculpture from the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte and his M.A. in Art Education from Appalachian State University. His
professional activities include curating exhibitions, serving as juror for
competitions, lecturing, teaching workshops, consulting on public art projects,
and creating his own studio work. Foreman has lectured for numerous
organizations including the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and the
International Sculpture Center. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

March 30 and continuing March 31, April 1, 5, 6 & 7 during the hours of

reception and awards ceremony on <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>April 24 </span></b>and
